Ultrapure Water Plant (UPW)

A Critical Utility for High-Precision Manufacturing

Ultrapure Water (UPW) is an essential input for industries such as semiconductors, solar photovoltaics (PV), and sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing, where consistent water quality is directly tied to product yield and performance. UPW is produced by removing impurities from sources like municipal, river, or process water-achieving exceptionally high purity levels, including resistivity > 18.2 ΜΩ-cm and contaminant concentrations measured down to parts per trillion.

SHG Water Recycling Pvt Ltd delivers reliable and cost-effective UPW through a combination of patented technologies-including Selective Contaminant Extraction (SCE) and RO Infinity (ROI)-alongside advanced electrodeionization (EDI) systems. These are deployed across the make-up, primary, and polishing stages to ensure consistent quality and system efficiency, enabling customers to meet both production and sustainability goals.

Industry-Specific Requirements

While the end goal of ultrapure water is consistent across industries-eliminating contaminants that could compromise product integrity-the specifications and use cases vary:

  • Solar PV Manufacturing: UPW plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of solar cells, acting as the primary cleaning solvent and a diluent for chemicals. As manufacturing processes grow increasingly sensitive, even microscopic contaminants can compro-mise product performance. Concurrently, sustainability goals and regulatory pressures are pushing manufacturers to adopt water reuse practices, targeting minimal or Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD).
  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: UPW is used as a critical ingredient in parenteral and other sterile products to control endotoxin levels. It is also used for the final rinse of primary packaging materials to maintain sterility and product safety.
  • Semiconductors and Microelectron-ics: This sector is among the largest con-sumers of UPW, using more than 750 bil-lion liters of freshwater annually to produce it. UPW is indispensable throughout the wafer fabrication process, including wafer cleaning, rinsing, surface conditioning, wet etching, solvent processing, Chemical Mechani-cal Planarization (CMP), and slurry production.

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

Zero liquid discharge is a process that is beneficial to industrial and municipal organiza-tions as well as the environment because it saves money and no effluent, de discharge, is left over ZID systems employ the most advanced wastewater treatment technologies to purify and recycle virtually all of the wastewater produced. Als Zero liquid discharge technologies help plants meet discharge and water reuse requirements, cabling busi-nesses to:

Industry-Specific Requirements

While the end goal of ultrapure water is consistent across industries-eliminating contaminants that could compromise product integrity-the specifications and use cases vary:

  • Evaporating reject water in multiple effect evaporator, crystallizers and ATFD
  • Waste water recovery
  • A Zero liquid discharge facility (ZI.D) is an industrial plant without discharge of waste waters. Target ZLD is normally reached by

Salient Features:

  • High efficiency. Sturdy design, Less maintenance
  • Quick to install
  • Compact Design
  • Highest Steam Economy

Applications:

  • Textile Industries, Pharmaceutical Industries
  • Distilleries, Chemical Industries

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

We are having promising technologies to treat waste water generated from various indus-tries containing highly organic, inorganic load, oil & grease, heavy metals and suspended solids. Based on the effluent parameters as per nature & compositions, we design steady state model to overcome environmental issues related to industry.

The processes involved for the treatment of various effluents are anaerobic (UASBE, Anaerobic filter, biodigestor), aerobic (diffused aeration), hybrid (anaerobic+aerobic).

Our strength is to achieve the permissible limits of resultant trated water as per Govern-ment noms.

Salient Features:

  • Manual, Semi-Automatic & Fully Automatic.
  • Type-Batch & Continuous
  • Silent in operation
  • Sugar, Pharmaceutical, Electroplating
  • Dairies, Paper & Pulp, Automobile
  • Food processing, Chemical, Paint

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from waste water, primarily from household sewage It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to pro-duce environmentally safe treated waste water & to reduce fresh water consumption.

Technologies involved are-

  • Activated Sludge Process ASP
  • Sequential Batch Reactor. SBR
